Celebrating the importance of women in the workforce
The team from Brite engaged with other women from the community at Hume City Council’s morning tea commemorating International Women’s Day*. The event helps to celebrate the importance of women in the workforce and the amazing things that they have accomplished.
Our Ladies from Brite enjoyed a lovely morning tea and the opportunity for a chat with Cr Carly Moore, Mayor of Hume City Council and MP Maria Vamvakinou, Member for Calwell; both strong supporters and advocates for Brite, and wonderful role models for all women in the community.
Employees of Brite, Rebecca and Debra were able to share their own experiences as independent working women, describing the things that they have been able to achieve so far.
Thank you to our Mayor and the member for Calwell for taking the time to speak with our team about their own personal responsibilities and challenges in their respective roles.
Our team were very excited and appreciative to have this opportunity. Thank you to Rebecca, Debra, Marilyn and Cathy for representing Brite so well at the event. #IWD2019
*Each year, International Women's Day (IWD) celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women all over the world. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. IWD has occurred for well over a century, with the first IWD gathering in 1911. This year’s theme was #BalanceForBetter - A balanced world is a better world. https://www.internationalwomensday.com/"
