Message from the CEO – June 2019

By June 21, 2019October 27th, 2021No Comments

I would like to start with a special mention of our colleague, Mr. Tony Menchella. Earlier this week, Tony took centre stage, presenting to over 100 people from the construction industry. The event was organised by Social Traders, and Tony and I were there busily spruiking our work. Congratulations Tony, you did an exceptional job in representing yourself and the whole Brite team. I missed the opportunity to get a photo of Tony in full flow, so here’s a selfie we took afterwards.

After 5 years with Brite, Adnan Sert will leave Brite in July. I would like to thank Adnan for all his work over the last 5 years, in particular his significant contribution in supporting Brite’s transition to the NDIS. We wish him well in his future endeavours. Peter Lane will join the Brite team as a worthy replacement in the role of Corporate Services Manager. Peter comes to Brite will a wealth of finance and corporate services knowledge. We wish Peter every success in his new role and look forward to him making a positive contribution to our collective work.

By now our families and carers would have received notice for our upcoming Family Forum (6:30pm, Thursday, 4th July). The forum is a great opportunity to meet other families, discuss the many exciting opportunities that are happening at Brite. You are all so important to our work, so please come along, we need your support.

In NDIS news, most families have now transitioned to the insurance scheme. Indeed, we are starting to see some folks move into their second plan. Should you have any questions, concerns, or need any support with the NDIS, please speak to the team.

Finally, a sincere thank you to all of our colleagues, families, and our commercial partners for making Brite the most amazing place to work. Every day I get to witness the incredible impact of meaningful work in our community. It is both humbling and a privilege to play my part.

To all of you, take a bow; you deserve it.
