Brite sustainable gardening & healthy eating program
Brite Sustainable Gardening & Healthy Eating Workshops are designed with a flexible delivery model in mind, enabling us to accommodate the needs of every group that participates. The program has been funded in part by Hume Community Grants to support and trial its initial and ongoing delivery. Brite Sustainable Gardening & Healthy Eating workshops support healthy eating choices and lifestyles. The program offers participants the experience of witnessing a food journey, which starts from planting a seed, harvesting, through to cooking exciting dishes.
The workshops are facilitated by experienced tutors who focus learning objectives on seasonal and environmentally friendly gardening knowledge and practice. This includes a host of hands-on fun that includes taking care of worm farms, hot and cold composting, growing vegetables, mulching, weed identification and much more.
